ORGANIZATION FOR SOCIO-ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES is a non-government, non- political, voluntary, gender sensitive and right based organization established in 1998.
Since establishment, OSEA has been striving to serve the most marginalized and disadvantage community peoples such as persons with disabilities, distressed, discriminated, tortured, repressed, and extremely vulnerable. Most of them are from poor and hard-core families, who have no assets, power, dignity and rights in the society.
Most of the participants of the organization are women, adolescent and children. They are deprived, discriminated and victims of violence by the majority and well-off people.
OSEA has been working with the most marginalized and vulnerable peoples living in Barishal, Patuakhali, Dhaka, Narayangonj, districts. The year 2024 was important to us for the organizational growth, scope of working opportunities with a large number of target populations that contributes to achieve national development goal. In the reporting year we have made important progress to mainstream agriculture, water, sanitation & hygiene, health & family planning education, women empowerment and livelihood skill development that opens a new horizon to work intensively with the underprivileged children and women for their socio-economic development. The organization has been implementing various types of programs considering the needs and demands of the poor and hard-core poor peoples of the target areas. OSEA has been making all out efforts to protect the rights of the poor and hard-core poor people’s especially for the women and minority. It has been making the people aware on different rights-based issues like’s human rights, women & child rights of
persons with disability.
OSEA has been implementing all of the programs in a participatory manner. OSEA has been ensuring participants of all level stakeholders in program implementation. This is my pleasure to pass on earnest thanks to the members of Executive Body and General Council, funding agencies and partners, person donors, network organization, government agencies and all well-wishers for extending their helping hands and cooperation. The collective effort helped us to bring the result and insist us dreaming for future. As decided, we have considered the reporting period from January to December from now on. The report reflects the total scenario of our activities of the year 2024.We have tried to collect necessary data and information of on-going activities from different projects and programs, challenges and lesson learnt that we believe to be helpful for the program and other concerned.
I expect that in the coming days the organization would be able to expand its program coverage as well as working to expand its services.
